    Chinese Liquor Go Europe of Guizhou Chun: Grand Gold Metal Demonstrates the Power of Cultural Innovation

    At the night of October 18 in local time of Belgium, hosted by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Committee, China Wine News, Beijing International Wine & Spirit Exchange and Special Alcohol Committee of China Non-staple Food Circulation Association, Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles was held in the Brussels Town Hall.

    Guizhou Chun, with Guizhou Chun’s Elegant Maotai-flavor Liquor of 20 years, won the Grand Gold Metal. Marion LeMaiher, Mayor of Brussels and Baudouin Havaux, the Chairman of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles presented the award and certificate.

    Xiao Jinchun, CEO of Guizhou Chun, the first winner of Guizhou Liquor Master, brewer master of Maotai-flavor liquor, together with Feng Jiawen, Technical Director of GuiZhou Chun accepted the prize.

    Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Belgium, is the largest international and itinerant competition where spirits are scientifically and fairly judged and tasted by a panel of internationally renowned judges and competing companies come in great numbers. Its coverage, professionalism and impartiality is world-renowned. It is honored as the “Liquor Oscar” and “Liquor Olympics”.

    The 19th Spirits Selection competition has received 1,315 samples for competition from 54 countries and regions. China applied with 279 samples, ranking No. 2 among all contestants. Among 88 award-wining products of China, 6 Grand Gold Medals, 40 Gold Medals and 42 Silver Medals were captured.

    The biggest award-winner, Guizhou Chun’s Elegant Maotai-flavor Liquor of 20 years is an high-end product released by Guizhou Chun for spreading Chinese new liquorculture concept —— “Taste Purity- Find the Charm of Chinese Liquor”. In adhere to Guizhou Chun’s practical and innovative spirit, Guizhou Chun has sticked to use single grain for brewery and solid state for brewery and added a flavor of new culture to Guizhou Chun liquor, receiving warm welcome among consumers.

    Guizhou Chun is an expert in award winning. Guizhou Chun was establied in 1950, Xingyi Jiao, one of its product, was ranked No.1 among 13 mid-tire liquor contest in Guizhou Province in 1979, and in 1983, the product was awarded as “Provincial-level Famous Liquor”.

    In January 1985, Ministry of Light Industry awarded Guizhou Chun the “”Bronze Prize for Liquor Awarded by Ministry of Light Industry,1984”, it was awarded as a high quality product, and received many awards, including “Guizhou Famous Liquor”, “Guizhou Time-honored Brand”, etc.

    Guizhou Chun has participated the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles three times and been awarded three times. In September 2015, Qian Jiao, produced by Guizhou Chun was awarded Gold Medal in Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles; In September 2016, Guizhou Spirit also won Silver Medal in that competition. In Septembter 2018, Guizhou Chun’s Elegant Maotai-flavor Liquor of 20 years was the top player, being given Grand Gold Medal.

    Guizhou Chun was awarded as the Best Participant and Multiple Award-Winner Company by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Committee for 3-year participation and award winning.  

    Xiao Jinchun told the reporter of China Wine News, the winning of Grand Gold Medal is a natural thing after years of progress and accumulation. Innovative products of Guizhou Chun was recognized globally. This means Guizhou Chun was correct in taste innovation and the insight on customer taste and cognition change. We are steady and confident about Guizhou Chun’s future fast development.

    “For China’s alcohol development, we started to develop products in 1980s, and in 1990s, we embarked on the journey of marketing, and after 2000, it is a capital adventure. ” Now, it is the 4.0 age of culture. “Cultural innovation is the next major competition point for liquor brand, it is also essential for Chinese liquor to enter international markets.” Xiao Jinchun believed, with the recognition from international judges, Guizhou Chun could quickly make breakthrough in marketing and market based on its quality and cultural innovation, so as to secure a foothold in the liquor industry as an alcohol innovator and promoter and practitioner of new liquor culture under the circumstance of and finally create an excellent image of Guizhou Chun and China alcohol new culture.

    Feng Jiawen said, "Guizhou Chun has always been an established brand in Guizhou alcohol industry. It once developed and led the trend of low-alcohol liquor in the 1990s. It has been playing a pioneer role in sticking to traditional technique, pure grain brewery and taste innovation both in Guizhou's and China's liquor industry. In its peak time, Guizhou Chun was popular nationwide, from north to south and even in Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. “With great mountain and water comes great liquor, natural and tasty is Guizhou Chun” is a slogan engraved in a lot people’s mind. It is a symbol of Guizhou as the home of liquor and China's eco-liquor.
